We collect data that you either give to us yourself or else explicitly give us permission to receive from a third-party such as GitHub or Facebook. This data may include things like your email address and permission to speak with you via email or Facebook.
We do not sell or share your data with anyone else. Your data is stored on our systems in the secret underground Magikcraft Data Centre, where it is guarded by dwarves with axes. Sometimes your data is also stored in facilities provided by cloud computing providers like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and IBM.
When your data is stored on third-party systems it is accessible by their administrators, but it is only ever accessed as part of their normal operation as a cloud-computing provider.
Some of your data is stored on systems administered by Auth0 and by GitHub. Your data stored on their systems is subject to their privacy policies, and you should consult those.
Your email address may be stored on systems administered by Mailchimp or another mailing list as a service provider. In that case it is accessible by their administrators as well, but it is only ever accessed as part of their normal operation as a service provider.
The data that you give to us is only ever used for the purposes for which you gave it to us.
Your data may be revealed to government authorities if we receive legally-binding request to provide your data.
We may also collect data about your usage of our systems for the purpose of improving our services. Any usage data that is analysed or shared with third parties is anonymised - you are not identified in that data.
Your student progress data may be shared with people that you nominate and authorise to receive it.
